A Halloween Update!

Happy Halloween dear reader! I know, it’s been a while, but I’ve been hard at work doing very little. I know, that’s anticlimactic, but it’s the truth. I had been prescribed an antidepressant called Vraylar for my bipolar. However, it ended up acting as a major sedative and screwed up my focusing terribly. As such, I’ve gone off of it and since then, (October 28th—only a few days ago), I’ve been writing again.

Sadly, this doesn’t mean that you’ll see anything until Decemystery; I’ll post a little update on Thanksgiving more than likely and then I’ll focus on 2022. I’m once more terribly sorry that this year was a major letdown and I feel truly horrible. I spent most of the time I wasn’t writing playing video games and beating myself up for being a sloth and thought that it was my fault for not trying hard enough. I didn’t realize that it really was how the medication was treating my bipolar and in hindsight, I wish I’d acted quicker so it didn’t end up making me do nothing for almost two entire months.

I’ve always been self-conscious of not doing anything and while doing nothing but playing video games may seem like a dream come true, it becomes a nightmare when you burn through so much in so little time. You spend a lot of money and end up becoming a shopaholic. It sucks, trust me.

Anyways, I hope that Decemystery will be more than enough to make you all happy. Also, from the bottom of my heart: if you’re a frequent visitor of this blog, I hope that you aren’t mad at me. I’ve done all I can to continue to have this blog be as entertaining and content-filled as possible. Likewise, not providing said content upsets me; even if there’s just one person who reads this blog and is disappointed I haven’t posted recently hurts. So I really, really hope and pray that Decemystery 2021 will be the greatest Decemystery yet.

Until next time (Thanksgiving), take care and have a spooky Halloween!

  1. Your backlog is super rereadable imo, so between that and the megalists I've been slowly trying to work through, I haven't really felt the lack of content. Can't wait to see what you've got planned for Decemystery this year! I really liked the obscure ones you did last year like the dancing underpants and the subway man. For someone like myself who knows just about every popular urban legend, ones like that really scratch my itch for new strangeness.

    1. Thank you so much for continuing to read what I've done, and I really hope that this year's Decemystery is a treat. I have a mixture of some kinda-sorta well-known ones and some more obscure ones. I think it'll be a great deal of fun! :D
